Jamie Foxxand Dave Franco star in the vampire hunting movie "Day Shift". The story is about a hardworking blue collar dad who wants to provide a decent life for his smart daughter. But his boring job cleaning pools in San Fernando Valley, California, is only a facade for his real income source, hunting and killing vampirics as part of the international Union of vampire hunters.It sounds like a fun idea, but can J.J. Perry bring it to life?
The opening scene of the film is a wild action sequence that sees Jamie Foxx shooting a shotgun at an old lady, who turns out to have been a vampire. The two of them then have a wild fight that turns out to be a great time. This movie has a great deal of fun with rag-doll physics, which makes the action scenes pop in a way other Netflix action movies (or blockbusters) don't.
Day Shift was another film I enjoyed. It's a fun and light-hearted film that I found enjoyable. I found it entertaining and not too complicated. It featured great action and was unique. I enjoyed the humor and found myself laughing quite a lot. It also referenced some great vampire films like Blade and The Lost Boys, which are also some of my favourite films. The acting was solid, the directing was brilliant and the cinematography quite impressive. Day Shift is a film that's both entertaining and lighthearted. It's lots of fun.
Day Shift was a very mixed movie. While there's a lot fun action and some interesting characters (the brothers, Seth) there's also a terrible villain and a lot more mediocre Day Shift (2022) characters. It appeared that there were some scenes that were not shown. Bud's neighbor acts like they're friends, even though before the final scene she maybe had 3 minutes of screen time. This helps the best characters shine even more. The movie is enjoyable overall, but there were some things that could have been done better.
Snoop Dogg makes the whole movie worth watching. Snoop Dogg is the best! He is the epitome of cool.
